Overview
The Outer Rim Open is an XWA event run using XWA points and rules.
All X-Wing™ events will use the most current official Star Wars™: X-Wing™ Rules Reference
(xwing.life/resources/x-wing-rules), XWA Competitive Organized Play Regulations
(xwing.life/organized-play/op-resources), and XWA Points (xwing.life/resources/points)
available as of September 4, 2026.

Event
The Outer Rim Open will consist of five Swiss rounds on Friday. Top Cut will play Saturday.
Those who miss Top Cut are invited to play in the team tournament on Saturday.

Players meeting: 12:30 -12:45 (Table assignments for first round announced here.)
Dials down for first round: 1:00 p.m.
Break for lunch: Between rounds two and three.

NOTE: Team tournament, two rounds, will start at same time as Top Cut.

Tiebreaker
1. The player scoring the most mission points for destroyed and damaged opposing ships will be
the victor, with damaged ships at or below half health scoring their points (rounded down).
2. If this is also tied, then a roll for the first player should be used. The winner of the roll will win
the match.
Lists, Tournament Software, and Check-In:
Tournament administration will be conducted using RollBetter.gg. Players will need to register
for a RollBetter.gg account (rollbetter.gg/register) and upload their squads and obstacle
selections PRIOR to check-in for the preliminary rounds.
Players also will be required to bring TWO hard copies of their list with obstacles to the event
and present both copies at registration. Please include name on ALL sheets. Handwritten name is
acceptable.
Players must use the same submitted squad for the duration of the tournament.

Components
All players are expected and required to have all materials necessary to play X-Wing™ in
accordance with the XWA Competitive Organized Play Regulations (xwing.life/organized-
play/op-resources).
A player must have at the table all ship cards, upgrade cards, and condition cards included in
their squad list. Proxy cards and alternate-art cards, including those printed from Infinite Arenas
or other sources, may be used.
Rules
The Outer Rim Open Tournament will use the latest rules published, including the rules set forth
in the Star Wars™: X-Wing™ Rules Reference (xwing.life/resources/x-wing-rules), XWA
Competitive Organized Play Regulations (xwing.life/organized-play/op-resources), and XWA
Points (xwing.life/resources/points) available as of September 4, 2026.

New Releases and Legality
Anything released after September 4, 2026, will not be permitted.
Conduct
Players are expected to behave in a mature and considerate manner and to play within the rules
and not abuse them. The behaviors prohibited include, but are not limited to, intentionally
stalling a game for time, placing components with excessive force, inappropriate behavior,
treating an opponent with a lack of courtesy and respect, cheating, general unsportsmanlike
conduct, or any other behavior considered by the judges, marshal or Event Organizer to be
unacceptable.
