The Doom of Oryyx II: A Horus Heresy Narrative Event (Part 4) (8/2)

As the war over Orryx-II approaches its climax, the planet now stands on the brink of annihilation. Across the ravaged manufactoria, the sudden opening of technological vaults has thrown the war into more disarray than thought possible. Both Loyalist and Traitor forces bled heavily in the struggle to claim their secrets, only to be assailed by the vaults’ own awakened guardians. The fighting has shattered front lines, scattered armies, and left the world trembling under the weight of forces neither side fully understands.

After the dust from the fighting settled, the Traitors emerged with the advantage. Archmagos Vaardus Augustian has withdrawn to the Central Forge and completed the unsealing of the hidden vault at its core. Whatever he has uncovered now fuels a growing disturbance that spreads across the planet. The skies burn red. Astropaths and psykers are wracked by visions of doom. A slow, rhythmic pulse echoes through the crust of Orryx-II, as if something vast and ancient has begun to stir beneath the forges.

The Loyalists have one final chance to end this nightmare. Their remaining forces gather for a last, desperate assault on the Central Forge, determined to destroy Augustian and whatever abomination he has awakened. The Traitors rally in equal strength, eager to crush the Loyalist remnants and claim the world for the Warmaster or for their own ambitions. The final battle approaches, and the fate of Orryx-II will be decided in fire, steel, and sacrifice.

The Doom of Orryx-II is a Narrative Campaign to be played with Warhammer: The Horus Heresy 3rd Edition.
Loyalist and Traitor players will face off in one final mega-battle to decide the fate of the Forge World Orryx-II! This event will be an "Apocalypse" Battle fought across multi-tables over a single day with Loyalist and Traitor players facing off.

Come out and help determine the fate of this world set in the Age of Darkness!

Any faction is welcome for this campaign, and whether you have attended any of the prior sessions or just this one, anyone who wants to play Horus Heresy is welcome!

Army Lists should be limited to 3,000 points, and contain no Named Characters.
We are aiming for a casual, narrative flavor for this event, so bring all your cool, thematic, fluffy army lists so we can craft a compelling story!

The Event will be held on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, starting at 10 AM and running until evening.
There will be an Entry Fee of $10 to enter the event, which will go to both the store and towards Prize Support for 'Best Painted Character', 'Most Successful Loyalist Commander', and ‘Most Successful Traitor Commander’.
