Description

Surrealist Dinner Party is a family strategy game featuring famous figures from the Surrealism art movement! On your turn, bring new guests to the party, serve food and drink, or have guests socialize with their neighbors at the table. Each guest also has a unique ability, so pay careful attention to who is sitting next to whom! Of course you want to make all the guests you’ve invited happy, but if you can arrange for your opponents’ guests to start a little drama, that’s okay too!

Each guest wants a unique combination of Wine, Food, Dessert, Compliments and Drama from the party. When you send a guest home, you get to move all of their matching-color tokens to your stash, and the player with the most tokens in their stash wins!

On your turn, you do one of four things:

Seat a Guest
Serve a Guest
Compliment or Start Drama
Use Abilities

Play a guest from your hand to the table in front of you. You can only have 3 guests at once, so eventually you'll have to send some home

Give your guest one of the tokens from the platter. The platter refills with different tokens for each of the 6 courses of the game. As soon as it's empty, you move on to the next course.

Choose one of your guests and one of their neighbors, then give them each a Compliment or a Drama. Giving opponents' guests unwanted Drama is a great way to mess with them!

Every guest has a unique ability that allows them to help themself or mess with their neighbors. Some of these abilities can be used on your turn!
