It starts with a call on a burner phone you keep buried in your sock drawer. A voice you don’t recognize gives you coordinates, a time, and a code word.

You tell your spouse you’ve been called in for emergency overtime and kiss your kids goodbye, wondering if the thing waiting for you in the dark is going to follow you home this time.

You meet the others at a roadside diner or an abandoned warehouse—agents from the FBI, the CIA, the CDC. Strangers united by a single, terrible truth: the world is thinner than anyone thinks. There are cracks in reality, and things are leaking through.
